Teams are formed based on age and ZIP code. PSO accepts full or partial teams. Players will be placed on teams after the final registration deadline. A player CANNOT be assigned to a team unless the online registration is complete and payment has been received. There are two player placement possibilities:
- Player Pool (New Players) – Players entering PSO who are not on an established team will be placed on teams as close as possible to their ZIP code and/or school.
- Team Pool — Coaches of returning teams must invite all their players to play again. Past players will be placed on the same team as last season by PSO staff unless they request to be in the player pool. Players who played with PSO last season may request to be placed in the player pool if they do not wish to return to the same team.
Uniforms/Equipment
Game uniforms are included with fully completed & paid player registration. Coach is simply responsible for picking up uniforms from PSO front desk & distributing uniforms prior to game day. Players are required to purchase their own football cleats, mouthguard & Football.
Standards of Play
Our league is grade level-based and not based on player birthdate. A player is only eligible to participate in his/her grade level and/or higher. There are NO exceptions considered for any player to participate in a lower grade level. Any violation will result in the suspension of both player and coach, along with the disqualification of the team from postseason participation.
Participants will play in their corresponding age division following the school-age group chart below. Whatever your child's age is on September 1st per UIL - is what age group you play in. PSO feels it's important for your child to be able to play with their school friends. You can play up with director approval. If you have any questions, please email [email protected]

Spiritual Development
In keeping with our mission, PSO Football is committed to introducing Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord to our players and mentoring them in the Christian life by the example set by our coaches and league officials. To that end, coaches will be supplied with value lessons that will be shared weekly with their players before each practice. Additionally, prayer will be common at practices and games.
The Gospel will be presented to all players 3rd grade and older during one of their games, giving them the opportunity to respond to Christ's call on their lives.
