PSO offers adult softball in men's or coed leagues. All games are currently played on our beautiful turf softball fields at the Plano Campus of Prestonwood Baptist Church and are officiated by professional umpires. The league is governed by the official USSSA rules and any amendments that are specific to PSO’s leagues. Each of our leagues is discussed below.

Men's Softball League
The men's slow-pitch softball leagues play on Tuesday nights and consists of an 8 game season plus playoffs for eligible teams. Click here for more information on this league.

PSO Mission Statement
The mission of the Sports Outreach Ministry is to glorify God by introducing Jesus Christ to as many people as possible, using the vehicle of sports and fitness in order to reach out to those around us with the message of salvation in Jesus Christ.
Steps for Captains/Teams to Register
- Create a new account if you have never logged in or log in with existing credentials by using the buttons at the top right of the page.
- Click on "Manage Accounts".
- Click on "View Accounts".
- Click on "Volunteer"
- Click on "Find Volunteer Roles"
- On the next page, click on View Divisions beside "2024 Fall Men's and Coed Adult Softball League" . Then click on the division you would like to coach then click "View Selected Opportunities". (Head Coach of an adult league is the same as the captain).
- Make sure your name is selected on the next page and click "Continue."
- Enter your remaining information. This is where you will enter your Team Name. Fill out the coach application form. You will get a confirmation email once registration is complete.
- Your team page is created! (A link to your team page can be found on your account page or by finding your team in "Team Central" at the top of all pages.) Go to your team page and click on the "Roster" tab. Then click on the "Manage Roster Invites" button. From here you can invite players to your team by entering their email address. This page also tells you how many players have joined your team and what the minimum and maximum players per team are. Plus, the team code is on this page too. You can pass this code out to anyone who you would like to join your team. When you enter emails on this page, each email sent will already include the team code.
Captains, Keep in mind that there is a minimum of 12 players and a maximum of 16 players per team.
Player Registration
All players must register and pay the $45 League Fee. Use the link in the email from the coach or click the appropriate division below to register (you must have the team code if you are already on a roster, if not, you will be placed on the list of Pool Players). If you do not have a team and wish to be placed on a team, register as an individual and you will be placed on the Pool Players list to be placed on a team. There is no guarantee that we will be able to place you on a team, but we will do our best.

Coed Softball Registration
Teams
Team captains must register their team by completing the coach registration and entering the team name. After completing the team coach registration, the captain must send invites to theirs team players for them to register along with the Team Code so players can automatically be placed on the roster. It is recommended that there be at least three non-Prestonwood members on each team, but is not required. Each team will have a minimum of 12 players and a maximum of 16. In the Coed League, each team must have a minimum of 5 female players in their lineup every game.
EQUIPMENT
Teams
PSO Adult Softball uses the 12" softballs only. Softballs will be provided to the Umpires each game.
Players
Individual players are responsible for supplying glove, shoes and bats. Each player may not need their own bat as they may share with other members of their team.
